One of the simplest board games ever is TicTacToe. For millennia it has been in use, with its roots going back to ancient Egypt.
TicTacToe with Friends, our HTML5 version of this two-player game, is now available.
This time-honored pastime was given a fresh twist by the members of our crew. The game's enhanced features will excite players while they relax and take it easy.
Gameplay
A gamer is first paired up with an online stranger. If there is no one else to play with, an AI bot will assume the role of a substitute.
Noughts and Crosses is the name given to this game in the United Kingdom because each player is given either an X or an O as their mark. The first person to get an X is the one who gets to go first.
A 3 x 3 grid is marked by players in turn. To keep the game moving at a faster pace, a 25-second time limit is imposed on the players.
The winner of the match is the first to get three of their marks in a straight line.
To make this easy game more fun, we've included a few extras.
The background music can be set to a cheery piano tune. In the Options, background music and sound effects can be disabled.
It's also possible to design your character. There are presently eight characters to pick from, with four men and three women.
TicTacToe with Friends contains a conversation feature, just as our two-player game 4 in a Row. This enhances the game's interactivity and appeal. Emojis can be similarly used in the conversation box.
This game was built using HTML5 technology. A major advantage of HTML5 games is that they are cross-platform and extremely portable. Most current gadgets and operating systems can play TicTacToe with Friends.
